With a career spanning decades, Iiley R Thompson (Senior) is a seasoned professional in the footwear industry. From groundbreaking roles in initiating Under Armour's footwear division to shaping programs for retail giant REI, Iiley has left an indelible mark on the industry's landscape. His leadership is defined by proven results-driven strategies, consistently propelling both major and emerging brands to new heights. As the driving force behind Double i Works, Iiley Senior's wealth of experience continues to shape the company's legacy, ensuring a commitment to innovation and excellence in every facet of footwear development.
Iiley J Thompson (Junior), a key player in the Double i Works story, has seamlessly blended a modern perspective with a rich industry heritage. Working alongside his father on projects for small and mid-size brands, Iiley Jr. brings a fresh outlook to the company. His emphasis on sustainable material research aligns with the evolving ethos of the industry, contributing to environmentally responsible practices. With a background in digital marketing gained from the largest Google Premiere Partner agency in North America, Iiley Jr. integrates cutting-edge strategies into the overall footwear development process. Together with Iiley Senior, he plays a pivotal role in steering Double i Works into a dynamic future, where innovation and expertise converge to shape the next chapter in the company's history.
Double i Works is the brainchild of both Iiley R Thompson (Senior) & Iiley J Thompson (Junior). Our founders decided to take their depth of experience in the footwear industry, and carry on developing excellent footwear and meaningful relationships from the humble setting of a garage just outside Portland, Oregon. In those days, the spirit of innovation and a fervent dedication to perfecting the footwear development processes fueled the company's start. With a vision to redefine the industry, Iiley Senior worked tirelessly, establishing a foundation rooted in expertise and a hands-on approach. The garage became a breeding ground for creativity, marking the initial chapters of Double i Works' journey.
Fast forward to today, and Double i Works has embarked on a transformative move, bidding farewell to the Portland garage and embracing the serene landscapes of the Tennessee countryside. This shift symbolizes not just a change in location but a strategic leap forward. Against the picturesque backdrop of the Great Smoky Mountains, the company continues to evolve, bringing decades of industry expertise to a new setting.
